| Dr. Babette Meister - Veterinarian | |
Babette graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI in 2003. In 2005 Babette became a certified veterinary acupuncturist and is currently one of the only vets certified for acupuncture in Newfoundland and Labrador. She also has training in cruciate surgeries (knee surgeries) and ultrasound. She spent 3 years practicing at a 5 doctor clinic in Saint John, New Brunswick and has been practicing in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador since 2006. Dr. Meister is originally from Auburn, Nova Scotia and currently resides in St. John’s, with her husband Chad and their three cats (Mojo, Sam and Tucker) and her two dogs (Ouzo the Greyhound and Nikki a Sheppard/Lab Mix). Dr. Meister feels privileged and excited to be providing her services to the residents of Paradise and the surrounding Avalon region. | |
| Dr. Tracy Collins - Veterinarian | |
Tracy graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. While attending veterinary school she worked as a clicker trainer (positive reinforcement dog training) at the PEI Humane Society. In 2008, she traveled to a small community on Baffin Island, Nunavut to assist in a free spay/neuter/vaccination/deworming clinic. Tracy returned to NL to practice in 2009. Tracy currently resides in Mount Pearl with her boyfriend Scot, dog Isa and Jax (border collie mix and greyhound), and five cats (Ally, Akasha, Pita, Ninja, and Monkey). She is very excited to be a part of the Paradise Animal Hospital Team. | |

Dr. Mercer graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2007 and worked in Southern Ontario for four years. Dr. Mercer joined the Paradise Animal Hospital team in 2011 and currently resides in Paradise with her two cats (Savannah and Oliver) and her dog (Jake). | |
| Bonita Masters - Head Technician | |
Bonita is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), she graduated in 1995 from St. Lawrence College’s Veterinary Technology Program in Kingston, Ontario. She has been working in veterinary hospitals/clinics as a veterinary technician for the past 14 years and in more recent years, as an instructor at Academy Canada teaching the Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist program. Throughout her career she has attended a number of continuing education conferences including The North American Veterinary Conference, The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Conference, The Atlantic Provinces Veterinary Conference, and various conferences, meetings, and classes within Newfoundland. | |
| Stephanie Oliver – Veterinary Technician | |
Stephanie is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), she graduated in 2004 from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro, NS as an Animal Health Technician. Stephanie is originally from Burnt Point, Newfoundland but has been working in various practices in Nova Scotia since her graduation. Stephanie has recently moved back to St. John's after 10 years of being away. Stephanie has worked with many different species of pets including various birds, reptiles, pocket pets and of course canine and feline pets. She has attended many continuing education conferences over the years including the annual Atlantic Provinces Veterinary Conference and has also completed various online courses. Currently Stephanie, her husband and daughter have one dog (Yellow Lab/Retriever cross), and 3 cats (Abby, Eddy and Munchkin). | |
| Matt Cook - Veterinary Technician | |
Matt is a registered veterinary technician (RVT), graduating in 2010 from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College's in Truro, NS with a Diploma in Veterinary Technology. He also completed an internship in wildlife rehabilitation with Dr. Helene Van Doninck of Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Upon graduating, Matt enjoyed a period of employment as a night technician at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PE, before returning to Newfoundland and Labrador. He currently resides in St. John's with his girlfriend Mira and their three cats Steve, Henry and Minou. | |

Laura was born and raised in CBS, Newfoundland and is a graduate of Academy Canada’s Veterinary Assistant Program. Laura has always been an animal lover and currently has her Shih Tzu dog named Chloe and her two cats Sook and Lilly. Laura also has a daughter named Amber and still resides in CBS with her Fiancé Shane. | |

Gloria was born and raised in Plate Cove West, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland and is a graduate of Academy Canada’s Veterinary Assistant Program of 2009. Gloria loves animals and is currently living in the St. John's area with her boyfriend Jason and their Collie-Husky mix dog named Tucker and cat Bubbles. | |

Amy graduated from Academy Canada in 2011 from the Veterinary Assistant program and has been working at Paradise Animal Hospital since then. She currently resides in Paradise wither her two cats (Sprinkles and Peaches). | |

Kristin was born and raised in Clarke's Beach, Newfoundland and graduated in 2009 from Academy Canada's Veterinary Assistant program. She is currently residing in Paradise with her boyfriend Trevor; three dogs Coco, Kailey and Tanner and her bunny Cole. | |

Nancy was born and raised in Fair Haven, NL and is a graduate of Academy Canada's Veterinary Assistant Program. Nancy is currently living in Paradise with her husband Shawn, her three cats (Whiskers, Joey and Jaycee) and her hamster Squeak. | |
| Chad Decker - Office Manager | |
Chad is originally from Labrador City and moved to St. John’s in 2006 after spending seven years working in Saint John, New Brunswick. Chad graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a BA in Sociology and graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Saint John with a BBA in Human Resource Management. Chad is currently working on his Certified Management Accounting certificate. Chad resides in St. John’s with his wife Dr. Babette Meister and their four cats and two dogs. | |
| Cheddar – Clinic Rescue Cat | |
![]() | Cheddar was rescued by Heavenly Creatures from the Holyrood area and was adopted by the Paradise Animal Hospital. It didn’t take long for Cheddar to find his place at the Paradise Animal Hospital as he is very easy going cat that is friendly to all animals and people. |
